AR+I shows in Barcelona the recent success stories of the Andorra Living Lab
Representatives of Andorra Recerca Innovació (AR+I) attended, this last week in September, the Open Living Labs Days (OLLD) held in Barcelona, organized by the European Network of Living Labs, ENoLL (European Network of Living Labs). AR+I's country-wide open innovation system, the Andorra Living Lab, was certified as a member of this international entity made up of a network of more than 150 laboratories. The event was held in the Catalan capital and the theme was: "Living Labs in an era of transitions, how human-centered innovation is changing our lives".
From AR+I (Andorra Living Lab), technician Aurora Crespo, participated in the presentation 100 Regional Valleys, where she explained the case of Andorra's example as the first Living Lab on a national scale and listed some of the projects that are currently being developed.
Crespo presented Andorra as a "unique country with unlimited possibilities" due to, among other things, the idiosyncrasy of the Principality -the correlation between public and private actors, the flexibility in regulation and the institutions dedicated to disseminating knowledge-, the open innovation environment, the Andorra Living Lab and its relevance to ENoLL. He gave as examples two projects being developed in the country under the AR+I umbrella, such as the testing of two products of the startups Onalabs and Evix, related to sports and mountain.
ENoLL is currently represented in five continents, 38 countries and has 165 active members. For this reason, the Andorran delegation considers the event held in Barcelona as a "showcase to continue growing Andorra's position in the field of research and innovation".
