The Board of Trustees is the highest governing and representative body of Andorra Research and Innovation. Members of the Board hold the status of trustees and can be either natural or appointed.
Currently, Ms. Conxita Marsol Riart, Minister of Presidency, Economy, Labor, and Housing, represents the Government and serves as the President of the Board.
Mr. Ladislau Baró Solà, Minister of Institutional Relations, Education, and Universities, represents the Government and serves as the Vice President.
Mr. David Forné Massoni, Secretary of State for Energy Transition, Transport, and Mobility, is designated by Forces Elèctriques d'Andorra.
Mr. Marc Rossell Soler, Secretary of State for Digital Transformation and Telecommunications, is designated by Andorra Telecom, S.A.U.
The manager is responsible for the financial and administrative management of Andorra Research and Innovation, as well as for the execution of decisions made by the Board of Trustees.
The manager is appointed for a five-year term through a public notice and may be revoked, if necessary, by the decision of the Board of Trustees of Andorra Research and Innovation. The revocation of the manager also requires the agreement of the management committees of Andorra Research and Innovation, regulated in Articles 18 and 19 of the AR+I Foundation Law, dated May 13, 2021.
The composition of the Research Area Management Committee of AR+I is as follows:
a) The manager of Andorra Research and Innovation.
b) The coordinator of the Research Area.
c) An individual appointed for a four-year term by the ministry responsible for research.
d) An individual appointed by the University of Andorra.
e) An individual appointed by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of Andorra.
f) The coordinators of the different research areas.
g) The coordinator of the innovation area.
h) A maximum of four experts or other relevant actors in the field of research.
The composition of the Innovation Area Management Committee is as follows:
a) The manager of Andorra Research and Innovation.
b) The coordinator of the Innovation Area.
c) An individual appointed for a four-year term by the ministry responsible for innovation.
d) An individual appointed by Andorra Telecom, SAU.
e) An individual appointed by Forces Elèctriques d'Andorra.
f) An individual appointed by the University of Andorra.
g) The coordinators of the different innovation areas.
h) The coordinator of the Research Area.
i) A maximum of four experts or other relevant actors in innovation-related aspects.
