Mooovement is a mobile application designed to support livestock farmers in Andorra during the summer season, when animals graze freely in the mountains. With the help of a GPS device attached to the collar, each shepherd can visualize the position of his herd. Nuna has collaborated in this project by developing the digital platform and the app. The mechanical design of the capsule that allows the device to be attached to the animal's collar has been made by the Andorra Makers collective and manufactured with 3D printing in Andorra. The connectivity in this case is made with LoRaWAN technology. LoRaWAN is a network layer protocol designed for long-distance, low-power, wireless connectivity that facilitates the development of the Internet of Things. This project uses the Andorra Telecom LoRa network deployed in a large part of the country.
In the first pilot test, carried out last summer 2021, thirty devices were installed in eight different herds in Canillo, Encamp, Ordino and Sant Julià de Lòria.
