GSIC Innovation Day 2026

The GSIC Innovation Day 2026 is an initiative jointly promoted by Andorra Research + Innovation, Andorra Business and the Global Sports Innovation Center (GSIC powered by Microsoft), with the aim of connecting real challenges from Andorra’s sports sector with international startups and innovative companies.

For the first time, the programme was opened to sports-related companies and organisations in Andorra, allowing them to submit their strategic challenges and apply to become the beneficiary organisation of the Innovation Day. The call targeted organisations willing to explore new solutions, collaborate with international startups and drive projects with real impact.

Following the evaluation process, Bàsquet Club Morabanc Andorra was selected to lead this edition due to the potential of the challenge proposed, its implementation capacity, and the impact that an innovative solution could generate both for the club and for its fans’ experience.

The Challenge

The challenge proposed by Bàsquet Club Morabanc Andorra focuses on enhancing the fan experience on game days while incorporating solutions that contribute to making sporting events more sustainable.

Based on this challenge, an international call has been launched to identify startups and technology companies capable of providing innovative and short-term applicable solutions. Proposed solutions may address areas such as fan engagement, gamification, sponsor activation, mobility, sustainability, waste management, reusable systems, or data analytics applied to the in-venue experience.

From a Local Challenge to a Global Opportunity

Through GSIC’s international network, Bàsquet Club Andorra’s challenge has been opened to startups and innovative companies from around the world, providing access to technologies and innovative models that would otherwise be difficult to reach through traditional channels.

The selected startup will have the opportunity to work directly with Bàsquet Club Morabanc Andorra to explore the validation of its solution in a real-world environment, with the support of the Andorra Living Lab as a platform for co-creation, experimentation and validation.
