Onalabs starts a pilot test in Andorra with five athletes of the ARA program
Fenés, Carabaña, Gasa, del Rio and Esteve will monitor chemical biomarkers related to their athletic performance for three months
Five athletes from Andorra's High Performance program (ARA) will participate, from this Tuesday, in a pilot monitoring test with the aim of improving their performance. The catalan startup based in the Principality, Onalabs, in the framework of the Andorra Living Lab of Andorra Research and Innovation (AR+I) and in collaboration with the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, has given this Tuesday at noon, in an event held at the CTEO facilities, five of its ONASPORT devices for the athletes Ariadna Fenés, Nahuel Carabaña, Marc Gasa, Gina del Rio and Irineu Esteve to use them for three months.
After earlier validations of the ONASPORT device technology from previous pilot tests, some of them carried out in the country within the framework of the Andorra Living Lab, Onalabs now has the final device, which will be marketed soon, and which last week was presented in Barcelona with one of its partners, the Barça Innovation Hub.
"The collaboration through the Andorra AR+I Living Lab has allowed the adaptation and acceleration of the landing of the Onalabs device in the country, and its launch on the international market. Collaborations like Onalabs are success stories because they reinforce technology transfer and the Andorran innovative ecosystem,” said Aurora Crespo, coordinator of the Andorra AR+I Living Lab.
