Innovation and entrepreneur Andorra's schools network, launches
The aim of this initiative by the Education's Ministry and Andorra Research and Innovation is to promote an entrepreneurial culture and encourage the creation of innovative environments in the schools of the three educational systems that the country has.
The Ministry of Institutional Relations, Education and Universities and Andorra Research and Innovation (ARI) are launching the network of entrepreneurial and innovative schools. This initiative, which already existed in the Andorran education system, is opening to the participation of other educational centers in the country.
“It is essential that all schools in the country can benefit from this initiative, and network collaboration must make this possible, taking into account the particularities of each educational system,” said Minister Ladislau Baró.
The objective of this initiative, according to the Minister of Education, is to promote an entrepreneurial culture and foster the creation of innovative environments in educational centers. “This should contribute to the leaders training and create responsible citizens committed to social transformation and sustainable development, in line with the policies being implemented worldwide,” Baró added.
For her part, the manager of AR+I, Vanesa Arroyo, explained that “we are convinced that this school entrepreneurship project we are collaborating on, brings us closer to fulfilling one of the founding objectives of Andorra Recerca Innovació, which is to help make Andorra a more innovative, more sustainable, and more competitive country.”
The network of entrepreneurial and innovative schools is also conceived as a space for learning and exchanging entrepreneurial pedagogical practices among teachers, through the dissemination of initiatives carried out in schools in this area. At this point, Arroyo presented some of the activities they are designing to introduce entrepreneurship and innovation into classrooms, such as teacher training or the development of practical projects based on activities.
Once the network is presented, interested educational centers will be able to join. In addition, the Ministry and AR+I will once again offer students a seminar on entrepreneurship and innovation, prior to the fourth entrepreneurship day, which will take place in the first week of May 2025.
This initiative was presented this Tuesday to representatives of the three educational systems and also to representatives of the country’s social and economic fabric.
