Andorra takes part in the Nordic Groundbreakers Meetup
The event has served to explore the opportunities of the Nordic sports industry and all the innovative initiatives that different countries are promoting
Andorra has been the host country of the on-line meeting organized by Nordic Groundbreakers Meetup with the aim of exploring the challenges and opportunities of the Nordic sport industry. Thirty-five people from Northern European countries participated, including the Business Development Manager of Lahti Sports Hub, the Founder & Director d’Sports Lab Copenhagen, the Blekinge Business Incubator AB, the Project Manager – Sports d’Andorra Business, the Chairman of the Board de Norwegian Sport Tech, the Value Proposition Lead d’Sportian, the Managing Director de GSIC powered by Microsoft and, from AR+I, la coordinadora d’Innovació d’AR+I, Aurora Crespo.
The representatives of Andorra have explained the country's commitment in this sector, with the promotion of the innovative ecosystem specifically in the sports sector focused on mountain sports. With successful cases of startup testing through the Andorra Living Lab of AR+I. They also informed the rest of the attendees about the Andorra Sports Innovation Hub and the combined efforts through the collaboration with the Global Sports Innovations Center (GSIC).
During the session the different entities and countries explained the functioning of their ecosystems, in order to establish future connections: support to startups, international links, sport, sustainability, society and health are the main sectors or the strategy of digitization and data centralization.
